I'll Stop the World and Melt With You

Call me a romantic, but sometimes things just come together. And it’s amazing.

I’ve found that once you make plans to watch a movie with friends, it’s hard to get any work done as you wait for the agreed-upon start time of the movie. Last night, around 8:30, we decided to watch Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless at 10pm.

Remembering a Godard-inspired youtube clip, I put on Nouvelle Vague and started Stumbling.

Just as Mélanie Pain’s beautiful cover of “I Melt With You” came on, I found what I didn’t know I was looking for.

And then we watched Breathless. I’ve never wanted to speak French more. I could write about it, but you should just go see it…after looking through Le Love and listening to Nouvelle Vague.
